So you’re considering a psychic reading ? Read this first.

"So, exactly what is a psychic reading anyway? What's the point in getting one? I'm not even sure I want to know the future and I certainly don't want to know anything bad." Sound Familiar? Let me assure you your not alone. As a professional psychic, I hear these questions and concerns regularly.

Because teachings related to the spiritual realms of life are not commonly included within the scope of our fundamental education, there are many misconceptions about the work of an authentic psychic. This is why its so easy for fraudulent practitioners to get away with a scam. "Fortune-tellers" are scam artists. Let me share with you some insight as to what a real psychic reading with a real psychic is about. After I review some basic information, I’ll make some suggestions that will ensure you get the most out of your appointment. 

Lets start by clarifying a few things about psychics and psychic ability. Does he/she offer audio recording of your session?  Any professional will gladly discuss any questions or concerns you may have. If there is reluctance on the part of the practitioner to answer your questions then you may be dealing with less experienced or less than ethical practitioner. 

Ask Questions 
Treat your search as you would when shopping for any other product of service. Ask the businesses you look into what kind of services they offer. What do they specialize in?  Ask about their level of professional experience; what are their credentials?  Do they hold any professional certifications or memberships? Can they provide references attesting to there business reputation? Do they offer money back guarantees (occasionally the connection between the psychic and the client will not be clear enough to proceed with the session. This is normal and okay. Ethical business will offer money back in such rare occasions). 

Listen to yourself 
Above and beyond all else, don't forget to listen to your own reactions and responses. Your own intuition will perhaps be your most valuable tool when shopping for a psychic. You may indeed speak with many qualified professionals before you find one that seems to mesh well with your own personal energy. We experience this same thing through out our lives when we are for example in the market for a new doctor. You may try several prominent medical doctors before you find one that you actually like. You've found a practitioner. Following these suggestions will ensure that you gain the most out of your session.

Longer sessions can include focus on a variety of levels including clairvoyant healing work (even at distance). Be clear with your psychic about what you are looking for before booking your appointment. If he or she does not offer what you are looking for then  oftentimes they will refer you to a professional that can help you. Each psychic has their own particular gifts and so not all psychics work the same way. Once you've decided on working with a particular professional, allow them to proceed in his/her own manner. Do not demand that things be done your way or the way of another practitioner. Remember, she/he is the professional, not you.

RELAX…Schedule your session for a time that you will be relaxed and undisturbed. The more relaxed you are, the easier it will be for the professional to focus in on your energy. Getting a reading from your cell phone while driving your car, navigating through rush hour, is not a good idea. In order to get the best reading, be sure you are undistracted with your energy and attention completely present for the reading.

COOPERATE…come to your session with an open mind. Cooperation is the key to a good session. Unwarranted skepticism, arguing, demanding proof or trying to intentionally confuse the practitioner will only result in a poor energy flow, which makes for a poor session. The more open and receptive you can be the easier it is for the reader to tune into your energy.

 BE AWARE…that not everything revealed in your reading is set in stone. We have free will and free choice.
